Instead of forcing players to piece together cryptic lore fragments as in traditional Souls titles, Lies of P delivers a direct, bittersweet narrative. It reimagines Pinocchio as a tragic fable filled with genuine emotional resonance, high stakes, and deep care for its characters.
The developers demonstrated incredible respect for the player’s time by integrating thoughtful Quality of Life improvements. Clear UI indicators show when you have enough Ergo to level up, inventory shortcuts streamline usage, and late-game scaling remains smooth. Most notably, upon death during a boss fight, your lost Ergo drops outside the arena door, removing tedious retrieval friction.
